Routes are still being confirmed due to the continuing works connected with HS2 and EWR.
Sportive Rides
We have designed a selection of routes which should appeal to a wide range of cyclists from the novice through to experienced club riders. It’s not a race but just a great day out riding with fellow cyclists through North Buckinghamshire countryside while helping to raise funds for some very worthy charities. E-bikes are welcome.
NOTE - Routes have now been finalised and are as the updated ones posted on the 29 June (as below)
We have added additional Water Stops in Marsh Gibbon and at Cublington Hill.
All routes start and finish at Furze Down School, Verney Rd, Winslow, Buckingham MK18 3BL
Directions and arrangements for parking will be sent to all participants before the event.
- Clear signposts with marshals at main junctions
- Water and refreshment stations
- Low road traffic expected on a Sunday morning
- Chip timing
- Mechanical and medical support
- Choice of 3 distances (60km, 100km or 100 miles)

The 100km sportive ride is aimed at experienced cyclists, club riders and anyone wanting to achieve a personal target. The route has a total elevation of 2,972ft (906m) which includes a gruelling climb into Brill village.
Please note that the route does include a couple of short sections along the busy A41 so we expect all participants to be confident cycling on public roads. Marshals will be assisting at key junctions.
Start time: between 08:00 – 08:30

The 60km route offers a gentle introduction to the world of cycle ‘sportives’. The ride is relatively flat and avoids the steeper climbs in this region. The later start time allows for a more relaxing Sunday morning lie-in before setting off.
Start time: between 09:00 – 9:30 (please note changed from 10:00)
